Job Responsibilities
Conceptualising and executing all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to developers
Optimising sites for engagement, responsiveness, maximum speed, and scalability
Employing industry and design best practices through website build process
Liaising with back-end developers to ensure web and app logic is properly integrated
Ensuring website function and stability across devices i.e. desktop, mobile, tablet
Working with marketing and research teams to properly integrate brand elements and market research findings into website
Providing internal support and external customer service throughout the build and launch process of the website
Presenting and defending designs and key deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders
Establishing and promoting design guidelines, best practices, and standards
Social media designs
Working with the marketing team to properly integrate brand elements
Qualifications
Demonstrable visual design skills with a strong portfolio
Good understanding of front-end development such as HTML and CSS
Proficiency in WordPress (DIVI)
Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator or other visual design and wire-framing tools
Good understanding of search engine optimization principles.
Good understanding of UX/UI design principals.
Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues.
Up-to-date with the latest web trends, techniques and technologies
Creative and open to new ideas
Adaptable and willing to learn new techniques
Highly self-motivated
Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
Strong verbal and written communication skills
