Are you interested in working with an elite team that is at the core of everything we do? We are looking for a Systems Integration Developer to work with some of our newest and largest customers. In this role you will be working with the entire suite of QNX products (Hypervisor, QAVF, Blackchannel, Acoustics, etc). Your input will be valuable to help guide both module and system level architecture from the early stages of the project. You will be exposed to bleeding edge technology from both QNX and our customers in the areas of ADAS, electrification, autonomous drive, high performance computing, virtualization, and everything automotive.
Key Accountabilities:
- Proven aptitude for BSP development such as board bring up, enhancement of existing software and performance tuning.
- Design and development of new drivers for the hardware peripherals
- Design and development of embedded programs (C/C++) to debug/verify QNX modules.
- Troubleshooting and debugging customer issues
- Porting relevant software (not limited to OSS, etc.) to QNX as needed in a customer environment.
- Focused on ensuring software is held to our quality standards
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Education and Experience
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or another related field
- Minimum relevant experience in embedded software development: 0 to 3yrs
- BSP and drivers development experience would be an asset.
Technical Requirements
- Must have strong C programming skills
- Must have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of GCC and GDB is considered an asset
- Excellent problem solving and analytical thinking/innovation, including the ability to identify and analyze technical problems
- Hands on experience of system programming in embedded systems (such as board bring up, drivers, network/USB/Filesystem stack, kernel etc.)
- Hands on development experience using embedded operating systems (QNX, Linux, GreenHills, VXworks preferred)
- Know-how about bootloader and board bring up skills such as u-boot/DRAM controller initialization / system clock configuration / GPIO & pinmux)
- Exposure and/or willing to learn the driver development for peripherals such as UARTs, i2c, SPI, CAN, input devices, touch controllers, storage/networking/USB/PCI/WIFI/Graphics devices.
- Development know-how on power management, DVFS, thermal management, etc
- Interest to learn about the security hardware and firmware (TPM, TrustZone, etc.)
- Enthusiasm and a desire to learn about new technologies.
