As a Software developer specialist, you will play a key role in the delivery of complex technical systems of varying sizes to new and existing customers and will be part of discovering new technologies within the FinTech industry.
As a Software Developer Specialist you will be responsible for Designs, develops, modifies, adapts and implements solutions to information technology needs through new and existing applications, systems architecture and applications infrastructure. Reviews system requirements and business processes; codes, tests, debugs and implements software solutions.

Join the development organization for Nasdaq Trade Surveillance Boardvantage. The main objective for the development team in Bangalore is to build upon our industry leading trade surveillance product for our customers state of the art governance software for Boards and Leadership teams. As our new member, you will work with a group of enthusiastic and experienced team members. Together with your team, you will be responsible for delivery of enhancements and supporting rearchitected new and improved features including AI capabilities to our products.
Your role and responsibilities:
You will be responsible for developing AI/ML capabilities within our trade surveillance product. You will work with cross functional teams across the globe, delivering critical solutions and services to world-leading Trade surveillance product. You will be responsible for ensuring the speed and quality of development meets the projects requirements.
Furthermore, you will:
- Reviews independently system requirements and business processes; codes, tests, debugs; implements and maintains software solutions and is generally given more difficult technical challenges.
- Determines systems software design requirements.
- Designs, develops, tests, debugs and implements operating systems components, software tools and utilities.
- Develops security solutions for assignments increasing in complexity.
- Provides application software development services or technical support typically in a defined project.
- Develops program logic for new applications or analyses and modifies logic in existing applications.
- Modifies existing internal software products to add to new functions, adapt to new hardware, improve performance or enhance product usability.
- Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency and makes changes as required.
- Ensures that applications are compatible across multiple platforms and browsers.
- Uses deep technical knowledge to design, code, test and/or customize software solutions to meet or exceed client requirements, adding market/industry trends as necessary.
- May be developing as a generalist and become more involved in various aspects of a project including firmware, hardware, architecture, database warehouse and mining, database design and analysis, software development and testing.
We expect you to have
- At least 4 to 6 years of software development experience with expertise in writing server side code using JAVA/JEE, EJB and hibernate.
- Understanding of MYSQL database, database concepts and should be able to write complicated database queries.
- Expertise on JBOSS Applications Server, JBOSS 6+.
- Understanding of SAAS platforms, private cloud architecture in AWS.
- Knack of adhering to the best design practices.
- Knowledge of web debugging proxies such as Charles.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as GIT
- Education Qualification: Bachelor/Master in computer science.
It would be great if you :
- Knowledge on React or AngularJS is preferred
- Knowledge of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3 is a plus
- Fair understanding of JavaScript programming and DOM manipulation
- Knowledge of AWS cloud services.
