Role and Responsibilities
As a Software Developer Specialist, you will belong to a multi-functional scrum team consisting of business analysts, software engineers, and test engineers. You will be involved in all stages of the product life cycle, from design, implementation, and testing to release & deployment to supervising, solving to maintenance & enhancements. Your focus is to develop new features and enablers for a product with high quality, performance, and resiliency demands. Besides working closely with your colleagues in Bangalore, you will also work closely with Nasdaq teams in other countries. Design, develop, troubleshoot and implement rich internet application software for Boardvantage product. Take high-level architecture and design models from architects and implement them through detailed design and code. Participate and drive technical design reviews, functional specification reviews, develop project estimates, schedules, test plans, and code reviews. Proactively identify and resolve potential problems/issues including authoring of technical specifications. Conduct performance testing, review results, identify bottlenecks, and profile code.
Requirements
Minimum 6 to 8 years of software development expertise in writing server side code using JAVA/JEE, Spring framework, hibernate, Rest/Soap. Understanding of MYSQL database, database concepts and should be able to write complex database queries. Expertise on JBOSS Applications Server, JBOSS 6+. Should have the understanding of SAAS platforms, MS Azure cloud is a plus. Knack of adhering to the best design practices. Previous experience working with continuous integration/delivery tools and concepts such as Git. Bachelor/Master in computer science or equivalent work experience. It would be great if you : Knowledge of MS Azure or Certification is a plus. Understanding of React is a plus. Knowledge in agile development methods and how to best support them.
