Job Responsibilities

• Conceptualizing and executing all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to developers
• Optimizing sites for engagement, responsiveness, maximum speed, and scalability
• Employing industry and design best practices through website build process
• Liaising with back-end developers to ensure web and app logic is properly integrated
• Ensuring website function and stability across devices i.e. desktop, mobile, tablet
• Working with marketing and research teams to properly integrate brand elements and market research findings into website.
• Providing internal support and external customer service throughout the build and launch process of the website.
• Presenting and defending designs and key deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders
• Establishing and promoting design guidelines, best practices, and standards
• Social media designs
• Working with the marketing team to properly integrate brand elements.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable visual design skills with a strong portfolio
• 2 to 3 years of experience in a related field.
• Good understanding of front-end development such as HTML and CSS
• Proficiency in WordPress
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator or other visual design and wire-framing tools
• Good understanding of search engine optimization principles.
• Good understanding of UX/UI design principals.
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues.
• Up to date with the latest web trends, techniques and technologies
• Creative and open to new ideas
• Adaptable and willing to learn new techniques.
• Highly self-motivated
• Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
